Getting Started

Installation

Moku ships prebuilt for Windows, macOS, and Linux. All desktop builds bundle the Tsunagu backend and a JRE, nothing else to install.

Windows

winget install Moku.Moku

Or download the .exe installer from the releases page.

macOS

Download the .dmg from the releases page. Builds are ad-hoc signed, so on first launch run:

xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Moku.app

Linux

With Nix:

nix run github:moku-project/Moku

Or add it to a flake:

inputs.moku.url = "github:moku-project/Moku";

Arch users can build from source with packaging/PKGBUILD. This packages the frontend only, so install a tsunagu package or set TSUNAGU_BIN so the app has a backend to talk to.

Prebuilt artifacts are pushed to Cachix, so nix run/nix develop won’t compile Moku or Tsunagu locally. See Binary cache (Cachix).
