Getting Started

Overview

Moku is a fast, minimal manga, novel and anime reader. It’s a lightweight Tauri frontend for the Tsunagu backend, with no Electron overhead. Desktop builds bundle Tsunagu and supervise it for you.

What it does

  • One library, one reader shell. The right viewer (pages, scrolling text, or video player) mounts per title based on its content type.
  • Organize titles into folders, each with its own sort order and status filter.
  • Track progress on AniList with two-way sync.
  • Install source extensions directly from the app, compatible with Mihon/Tachiyomi, Aniyomi, and LNReader repositories.
  • Queue and monitor chapter downloads for offline reading, with automation rules to keep them fresh.

Where to start

Head to Installation to get Moku running, then Connecting to a server if you want to point it at your own Tsunagu instance instead of the bundled one. Features covers what the app can do; Architecture is for anyone digging into the source.
